Ghosting Demo - GUI showing alpha blending of streamed image pairs. This GUI implements the demo "Alpha Blending of Streamed Image Pairs" from the Image Acquisition Toolbox documentation. It is intended to show how to create a simple GUI that performs image processing as images are acquired by the Image Acquisition Toolbox.This demo combines a background image with newly acquired images which a user specified transparency value. This produces a "ghosting" effect where objects that move into the scene appear to be partly transparent. Requirements: · MATLAB Release: R13 · Image Acquisition Toolbox

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
